Apex Families & Students

  Our Vision

Family Ministry partners with parents and guardians to help children know and walk with Jesus as their savior, anchor, and foundation. We desire each child to become anchored in confidence, community, and contribution as they learn God’s story and their place in it.

These anchor points are solidified by partnering with parents through age-appropriate teaching and community, discipleship-focused events, and resources for the whole church as we all participate in the discipleship of our kids.

Infant - 6th Grade

In infants to sixth grade, we strive to create the anchor points for a strong, gospel-centered foundation as they grow into confident contributors in their church communities as well as the larger community. We do this by consistently sharing God’s Word at our weekend Gatherings through teaching, songs, crafts, and activities. We partner with parents by creating resources that can be utilized in the home, household or house church.

Students (7th-12th Grade)

We love serving and supporting our families and their middle and high school students. We realize the transition from childhood to adolescence is a unique time in each of our family’s spiritual journey. It is our pleasure to provide a team of creative leaders and committed mentors who will encourage these students to embrace and apply faith in Jesus Christ.

We joyfully point students, 7-12 grade, toward authentic, Christian maturity through biblical teaching and the pursuit of Christ-centered relationships.

More About Student Ministry

What to Expect On a Normal Sunday Morning

  • Step 1

Once you get to Apex, head to the check-in area located in the hallway next to the lobby.

If you’re new to Apex or haven’t logged into the kids kiosk before, make sure to arrive 10 minutes early. One of our helpful kids leaders will help get you set up!

  • Step 2

When you log in, it will print out a name tag for each child and a double security tag for drop off and pick up.

  • Step 3

Kids’ classrooms opens at 9:50am. If you need help finding what rooms they’re in, ask one of our helpful kid volunteers!

Check in ends at 10:15. Kiosks are closed at that time, so don’t delay!

  • Step 4

Pick up your child after the Gathering.

Remember that tag we gave you? Make sure you bring it with you so we know you have permission to pick them up. If you lost your tag, bring a personal ID with you to show to the FM team member. That’s it—easy peasy!

  Ages & Classrooms

In Kids Ministry, we desire that every child will grow in their knowledge and belief that Jesus Christ is their anchor and foundation and are given anchor points of confidence, community, and contribution. Confidence in their relationship with God, in the Bible, and in themselves as image bearers. Community as they learn how to grow together and how to give of themselves. Contribution as they follow God’s call to be light in the darkness here at home, around our city, and into the world.

  • Infant - 3 Years Old

Our nurturing staff will make sure your kid stays happy and healthy while you’re in big church. Infants to 3 years old are in rooms 159, 163, and 154 in ascending order.

  • 45K (4 Years Old - Kindergarten)

Your kid are learning a Bible story from the Big Picture Story Bible. Each week they will have a lesson, craft/activity, small group time, and a dedicated time for prayer as well as plenty of time to build community through play. 45K class is in room 251.

  • KidLife (1st - 4th Grade)

In Kid Life, your kids will be discipled as they explore a passage from the Bible in large group time, spend time in prayer in small groups, do an activity/craft to review the lesson. Each week will also have time for worship and play to build community. Kid Life meets in room 255.

  • 5th & 6th Grade

5th and 6th grade meets in Room 265 which is located upstairs in the back of the church. Their discipleship time will be done by breaking down a portion of the Bible and learning how to apply it each week.
