About your tutor: Nic Harding
In 2015 Nic handed on the leadership of Frontline Church, Liverpool, which he and his wife Jenny planted in Liverpool in 1991. It grew to be a church of about 1000 adults and children and has had a significant influence and impact in the city of Liverpool in the UK, and beyond.
Prior to that Nic had his own general medical practice in Bristol where along with his wife he pioneered a number of congregations over the 18 years of his involvement in the local church. He was bi-vocational in ministry and general practice for 12 years before giving up medicine in 1993.

Since handing on Frontline Church, Nic has taken on the role of Director for both Kairos Connexion (Kx) and Together for the Harvest (TFH). Kx is a national network of leaders and churches (of which Frontline is a part) that are working together ‘to see the nation transformed by the gospel through a movement of missionary disciples’. Nic is involved in networking, coaching leaders, and training churches (http://www.kairosconnexion.org). It is the expression of 3DM in England and Wales. TFH is a network of churches committed to reaching every man, woman and child in the Liverpool city region in a 10 year period. Needless to say both these responsibilities keep him pretty busy! Nic’s saving grace is being married to Jenny for over 43 years. They have 4 daughters and 8 grandchildren. Nic is a card-carrying introvert who loves a good book, exploring new places, starting and developing new things, and surprisingly – meeting new people.

Launchpad Huddle
Jul 12, 2023
Launchpad Huddle
Launchpad by Nic Harding is a coaching group (huddle) for growing missional leaders, covering 10 topics over 20 sessions
The ‘Discipleship in a Nutshell’ booklet (DIN) is a useful accompaniment to this curriculum, containing many of the tools we refer to here. Copies are available from naomi@kairosconnexion.org
This Curriculum is designed for churches that want to roll out a huddle for their lay missional leaders. It would therefore suit all missional community leaders, emerging leaders, and potential leaders.
It will form a key part of the church’s leadership pipeline as well as training a cohort of people to be confident missionary disciples. The curriculum takes a potential leader from the basics of mission and discipleship, through becoming a disciple-maker, to leading a group of disciple-makers
.Intended outcomes of this huddle?
Each person growing in confidence and competence to live as a missionary disciple where they live, learn, work or play.
This means growing in confidence to share their faith, find a person of peace, lead someone to Christ, and become a disciple-maker.
Each person developing a strong and effective prayer life, learning to use simple, sticky and reproducible Kx (Kairos Connexion) tools in mission and discipleship
Each person learning how huddle works and being able to use it as a tool to disciple other emerging leaders
Each person growing in the confidence and competence to lead a 3-dimensional group

Raising Missionary Disciples
Raising Missionary Disciples
Why aren’t we making disciples?
In these 4 videos Nic Harding and Jennie Taylor chat about the barriers many of us face when making disciples. We want to see more people come to know Jesus, grow in their faith and share that faith with others but we often get stuck.
These short videos will give you an introduction to Kairos Connexion as we share stories and tools that we’ve practiced over many years as we seek to raise missionary disciples.
Inside Out
Jul 11, 2023
Inside Out
Inside Out is an eight-session video based course that comes with a FREE downloadable workbook to equip your small groups to become missional, turning them ‘inside out’.
Most churches have some kind of small group structure. The groups are usually focussed on fellowship, bible study and prayer. All of these things are great, but could our small groups be more than that? We believe that, based on the New Testament ‘church in the house’, they have the potential to become a significant driver for growth and multiplication in church life. The first step is to turn them ‘inside out’.
Outcomes
- Wherever a small group starts on this journey, they should be able to identify those to whom God is calling them to ‘be, do and say good news’.
- The groups will grow in missional confidence, with members able to reach out to family and friends, discovering who is open to the gospel.
-
They will discover 3 dimensional rhythms, of up, in and out, in the pattern of regular gatherings, building sustainable rhythms for the group.
-
The spiritual foundations needed to become missional will be growing
- More people will be invited to your guest events (like Christmas and Easter services, or Alpha and Christianity Explored courses)
- In time the group will grow with new believers being added, and it will have the potential to multiply, or give birth to other new groups
- Your small groups can become an engine of growth for your church.

Brighter
Jun 22, 2023
Brighter
Brighter is a four-week course for church members to grow in missional confidence.
Through a mixture of video and hosted sessions, people will grow in 3 confidences – confidence to tell their faith story, to talk about Jesus, and to invite people to a Christian event.
A facilitator’s guide and participant course book are included with the course and can be downloaded. Dozens of churches have used this simple but powerful tool to raise the levels of gospel confidence.
The four 1.5hr sessions are structured as follows:
1)Prepare to Share
2)Habit 1: My story. I regularly share my story with those I meet.
3)Habit 2: God’s story. I know and share God’s story often.
4)Habit 3: Our story. I invite my friends and family to my local church events throughout the year.
Prayer is a central part of this journey and throughout the course participants are encouraged to pray for 5 friends with whom they can share the good news. We would encourage you to ask those who sign up to start thinking about and praying for 5 friends before the course starts.
Each week as well as teaching delivered by video there are also group discussions, activities and homework where everyone has the opportunity to use the tools they have learnt and encourage each other along the journey.
